Throughout the years, the Grim Fandango Network has had an active following of members who converse daily via the online chat medium, IRC - which
stands for Internet Relay Chat. If you'd like to join us and enjoy the company of fellow Grim Fandango fans, simply follow the below instructions:
Step One:
Download an IRC client, such as the popular mIRC or HydraIRC.
Step Two:
Set all of your details and such, using the included documentation as a guide.
Step Three:
Connect to the network irc.gamesurge.net, which can be done with the command /server irc.gamesurge.net.
Step Four:
Join our channel, which is #gfnetwork. This can be done with the command /join #gfnetwork.
While in the channel, please respect some basic guidelines. The first and foremost of these is that there is no arguing at all - we've managed to get along as good friends for a long time now, and we don't desire newcomers disturbing the peace.
Another act which will earn you no fans is joining and never actually making any attempts to interact with anybody at all. If you join, get involved! We don't always discuss Grim Fandango (in fact, it's quite rare since we've discussed pretty much anything there is to discuss already), but we discuss plenty of other interesting things.
