A Helping Hand - Grim Fandango Hints
It goes without saying that Grim Fandango, as an adventure game, will puzzle and sometimes frustrate you. Although this is almost certain to happen, you are highly encouraged not to turn to a walkthrough. Instead, take careful note from the following advice and try to work through it yourself.

Tip #1 - Get out the magnifying glass.
Be sure to always thoroughly inspect the entire environment. There are very few scenes in the game without at least one interactive element, and it is very often the less-obvious things which turn out to be the key. Don't miss a thing.

Tip #2 - Graphical beauty comes at a price.
If you have anti-aliasing and hardware acceleration enabled, objects are far more indistinguishable from the background scenery. You will have to roam the area in order to turn Manny's head to see the painfully difficult ones.

Tip #3 - Enjoy your conversations.
Many puzzles are dependent upon something a character has said at some point. To ensure that you don't miss out, always say everything that you can to everybody. Not doing so will hold your progress back.

Tip #4 - Everything deserves a chance.
The most daft of combinations often results in progress. Whilst it may seem absolutely ridiculous to combine a certain two things together, do it anyway. You'll be surprised at the results.

Tip #5 - Don't get in with the wrong crowd.
No matter how daunting the game may seem, try your damned hardest to resist the temptation to read a walkthrough. They tend to have an addictive nature, and you will return to the walkthrough every time you get stuck in the future. Instead, persist alone - or at the very most, ask on our forums.
